Accommodation and meals are provided with us in the comfortable
setting of Le Poyenval helping you to absorb the language and
French atmosphere throughout the duration of your course.
Our methods are based upon immersion teaching - speaking French
as much as possible both inside the house and when on trips away
- with regular tuition and conversation sessions on a one-to-one
basis.
Our course fees are inclusive. From the time that you arrive
until the time that you leave us - accommodation, food, tuition,
course materials - all are included.
We are well equipped with all the facilities necessary to make
your stay both successful and comfortable.
Chambre d'hôte (B&B) accommodation is
available for partners and families of those attending our
courses at additional cost, if required. There is lots for them
to do locally, with family attractions including Puy du Fou and
Futuroscope within reach.
Content of a typical day
Intensive language courses at Le
Poyenval are designed to match each pupil’s
needs and ability.
With emphasis on participation, the courses will help you to gain
confidence in all aspects of communication whilst improving your
understanding of the French way of life.
Tuition and practice will generally include some or all of the
following:
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner en famille
- Listening comprehension using radio, TV and classroom
exercises
- Classes in small groups, maximum 5 students plus larger
groups on some afternoons
- Tuition un à un is available
- Visit to a nearby town or village, time and weather
permitting
- Involvement in aspects of village life
- Self study time in our bibliothèque
- Opportunities to watch French TV or films in free time, as
well as reading French books and newspapers
